ABOUT E-MAIL

For many people, electronic mail (or e-mail) is the primary reason to get on the Internet; they simply want to be able to send mail to someone else on the Internet. E-mail is used by the largest number of people on the Internet, although in terms of traffic, the heaviest volumes lie elsewhere. Almost everyone who considers themselves connected to the Internet can, in some way, send and receive e-mail. Once you're on, though, you're likely to strike up many new friendships and end up with a long list of electronic correspondents. E-mail is an excellent way to stay in touch even with people whom you regularly talk to on the phone because it's quick, cheap and easy.

Why Use E-mail?

E-mail is cheap

Email is cheaper than phone, fax or courier and more so when the e-mail is being sent internationally. Even when you're sending e-mail to friends in Japan, India, Europe, etc., the only cost to you is the price of the local telephone connection to WindsorNET's computer. You can also write all of your e-mails during the day and send them to us in one batch at the end of the day, thereby using just one local call for any number of e-mails. And because your e-mail is sent immediately to its destination, there are no such things as premium rates for faster deliveries.

E-mail is convenient

You can compose and your send your e-mails at any time. When sent, the messages are delivered immediately by WindsorNET their destination. Similarly, e-mails addressed to you, are processed immediately and placed in your mailbox, which you can read at your own convenience. Unlike telephone conversations or post, time zones do not create a problem; there are no "hours of opening", or "collection" and "delivery" times.

E-mail is flexible
