This is how a typical Web page design project progresses:
Stage 1 -- Dreaming
- You dream about marketing your business or service on the Internet.
- You find WindsorNET Internet Services, perhaps through
- Looking for a Web page designer on Yahoo or Webcrawler or InfoSeek
- Receiving a personal referral from one of our satisfied customers
- Reading an article about us in a newspaper or magazine
- You read all the information on our Web site.
- You decide, "Here's someone I can work with whom I think I can trust."
Stage 2 -- Telephone
On the phone we discuss your dream
We develop a plan of how many pages you need, and how we'll link them together.
Here's where we decide how you'll attract people to your site, and map out a strategy
tailored to the realities of marketing on the World Wide Web.
You print out on your printer three documents for our next phone
conversation:
Over the phone we go through the Worksheet and Contract in detail. This
way we have excellent and accurate communication from the beginning, which saves problems
later.
Stage 3 -- Sending
You mail or FedEx all your materials to me:
Stage 4 -- Construction and Feedback
- We'll take the materials you send and put together a set of linked pages. we'll upload
a first draft to either your Web space in your Internet Service Provider's (ISP)
host computer, or our Web site, if you haven't secured an ISP as yet.
- we'll e-mail you the Web address, and you take a look. At this stage
all you'll see are "quick-and-dirty" graphics. Don't despair, the "good
stuff" will come in a few days. You e-mail me your feedback.
- Our graphic artist takes your company logo, photos, and instructions, and works his or
her magic. We upload the graphics package for your feedback. We can make
changes to the graphics at this point to suit your tastes.
Stage 5 -- Fine-Tuning
- By this time you'll have your own Web page account set up, and we'll transfer
the pages to your host computer, and make sure the image maps and guestbooks work
correctly on your server.
- You take a final, very careful, look at your Web pages, and we make the final
series of corrections to your pages. This phase often takes several passes before
we're finished. We keep this up until we meet your specifications.
Stage 6 -- Registering
- We work together to develop 25-word sentence or two (no more than 200
characters) describing your organization or business, using as many important keywords as
possible. This goes at the top of your Welcome Page for the Web search robots to see and
index.
- You also e-mail me about 10 keywords for indexing, and as many as you
want which we can hide in your Welcome page for a Web search robot to find and index (we
hope).
- You send a check for your final installment.
- We'll register your Web site with 12 to 15 of the most popular Web
search engines, such as Yahoo, Lycos, Webcrawler, and InfoSeek. We send them the 25-word
descriptive paragraph you decided upon and about 10 key words.
- Within a few days to a few weeks the Web search engines will have listed you, and you
can expect visitors to start coming to your site.
Stage 7 -- Updating and Marketing
- Over the next six months you can e-mail me whenever you want changes and updates
to your Web pages. Included in my package prices is one hour updating per page
over the course of six months. Within a week of receiving your e-mail, I will have made
the changes and uploaded the revised pages to your host computer.
- You'll need to be agressively marketing your Web site if you expect to
get a steady, growing number of visitors. Don't believe the hype: there is no Web magic
here, only hard, consistent work.
Stage 8 -- Telling a Friend
- We hope you'll be absolutely delighted with the level of customer service
you receive from WindsorNET Internet Services.
- When your friend or business associate asks who they can get to do great Web pages for
their organization or business, we hope you'll recommend WindsorNET Internet
Services without hesitation.
- Our business grows when you are delighted, and so we work very hard to please
you!
Depending upon the complexity of your project, we can get you up and running with a
marketing presence on the World Wide Web in a few weeks. Be sure to let us know your
project is coming up, however, so we can reserve time for you.
We Make It Look Easy
Don't be deceived when you're browsing the Web.
Anyone can prepare a Web-page or two. But since you're advertising your organization
for the world to see--and to judge by first impressions--you need a Web page designer who
can help ...
- Give your pages a unique and unified look by means of background color, texture,
and graphic images.
- Provide forms which return to you by instant e-mail your customers' questions,
thoughts, and product information requests. This requires an understanding of cgi-bin
files and programs.
- Give the correct balance between sparkling graphics and well-laid out text.
Remember when desktop publishing was new? Everyone had powerful tools, but you could tell
pretty easily who had spent the time required to master the elements of graphic design.
We prepare World Wide Web pages for clients in the USA and internationally. We'll work
with your Internet Service Provider to upload your files and get you completely set up on
the Web. If you haven't yet selected an Internet Service Provider to host your Web pages,
perhaps we can advise you about that, too.
Why don't you take a look at our variety of Standard Web-Site
Packages with prices. Then give us a call or fill out out our guestbook. We look forward to working with you. Our
desire is to delight you--the client!
